Pit Stops You Don’t Want To Miss

At CRC, we know the value of honest, skilled workmanship—it’s what keeps the trucking industry moving. Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with some of the best mechanics and service providers in the area. If you're looking for trustworthy professionals to keep your rig running smoothly, these are the shops we trust and recommend.

Star Auto Care

📍 13028 Los Nietos Rd. Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670
Sam at Star Auto is an honest and reliable mechanic who always looks out for his customers. He never oversells and provides trustworthy service. When giving directions to my shop, I always say, "Look for Star Auto Care—we’re right in the back behind them." We’ve done business together for over 20 years. If Sam needs transmission or differential work, he sends it to me, and when I need automotive repairs for my family and friends, Star Auto is my go-to.

J & B Diesel Repair

I started selling clutches to Jeff in 2004 and have handled his gear work since 2005. Our friendship grew beyond business when we discovered our shared love for dirt biking, spending weekends camping with our families. As our kids grew up, we traded dirt bikes for SXS UTVs—our wives approved of the switch. Around 2020, Jeff’s son Nick moved to Texas, and with Jeff being busy tackling EPA engine computer repairs (which he excels at), he started sending all his clutch and drivetrain work to me. Jeff is a top-tier mechanic, mobile with a service truck, and also operates a yard in Fullerton. He’s especially skilled with cement mixers. If he’s available, he can likely help you out!

Big Lou's Truck and Trailer Repair

📍 13040 Los Nietos Rd. Unit A, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670
Lou has been in the business for a lifetime, and I’ve been working with him since 2003. In 2008, he moved his shop next door to mine, and over the years, I convinced him to take on our driveshaft building, welding, and balancing. He’s now handling diesel smog checks, which California will soon require quarterly starting in 2026. From A/C to brakes, suspension, BIT inspections, and general truck and trailer repairs, Lou runs a tight shop. He’s a good, honest guy—give him or his wonderful daughter Charlene a call at 562-903-1140

Full Throttle Lift and Equipment Rental

Full Throttle Lift
I’ve known Rip Williams since 1988, back when he was dominating non-wing sprint car racing. He was one of the best on the West Coast and earned a spot in the Sprint Car Hall of Fame. He later became my teammate, thanks to our mutual connection, Jack Jory. Rip carries the same work ethic into his business, which has grown rapidly. His son Logan joined him in 2016, and together, they continue to build their reputation. Rip’s integrity is rock solid—if he tells you something, it happens. If you need equipment rentals, give them a call or visit their website. 909-225-4471

Global Towing

I got to know Tony through the countless times he or one of his nine trucks dropped off customer vehicles at my shop. Over time, he started trusting me with his drivetrain repairs. If a customer ever asks for a reliable towing service, Tony is the name I give out. His team handles big diesel tows and flatbed trailers, even hauling buses. He’s always busy, which tells you everything you need to know about his reliability and work ethic. If you need a big rig towed, Tony’s your guy. 626-705-9611

No Bull—Local Recs

These are the businesses I trust—the mechanics and service providers I personally vouch for. Next time you're on the road, I hope you hit these pit stops and experience firsthand why they’re the best in town and highly rated by me and anyone I send their way.
